Pennsylvania has the widest gap in school funding between wealthy and poor districts in the entire country. The state’s share of school funding is also one of the lowest in the nation, leaving local districts to rely on increasingly burdensome property tax rates, which are highest in some of our poorest communities. How did we get here? What can we do to secure a fairer and more equitable school funding system in Pennsylvania? Our attorneys can answer these questions and more in our presentations about the history of school funding in Pennsylvania and our ongoing school funding lawsuit. If you are part of an organization that would be interested in hosting one of our presentations, please contact Dan Urevick-Ackelsberg at dackelsberg[at]pubintlaw[dot]org or 267-546-1316 to schedule a time and location.
Michael Churchill and/or Dan Urevick-Ackelsberg, who are two of our attorneys leading the Pennsylvania school funding lawsuit, deliver these presentations. Presentations typically run about one hour with 30 minutes of questions and answers to follow.
