Philly Attorneys Helping Ex-Offenders Get a Second Chance

An article in the November 21, 2011 Philadelphia Inquirer profiles the Philadelphia Criminal Record Expungement Project, an effort led by attorneys Ryan Hancock and Mike Lee to help Philadelphians get rid of old criminal records preventing them from moving forward in their lives.

Since starting in 2010, the project has helped almost 200 people clear their records. The project is staffed by almost thirty area law students and holds monthly clinics at the People’s Emergency Center in West Philadelphia. You can learn more at the project’s website.
