Partisan gerrymandering is a hot-button issue across the United States. Pennsylvania is now facing a legal challenge to its congressional map, which is among the top three starkest partisan gerrymanders in the country. The Public Interest Law Center brought that case on behalf of the League of Women Voters of Pennsylvania and individual voters from each of the 18 districts for the U.S. House of Representatives. In addition to our lawsuit, partisan gerrymandering is a hot-button issue across the United States. Both Wisconsin and Maryland are facing legal challenges about redistricting.

Learn about the impact of gerrymandering and how it affects the democratic process from a distinguished group of speakers:

  • Carol Kuniholm, Chair and Co-founder, Fair Districts PA
  • Michael Li, Senior Counsel, Brennan Center for Justice
  • Deuel Ross, Assistant Counsel, NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc.
  • Ben Geffen, Staff Attorney, Public Interest Law Center

1.0 Hour of Substantive Pennsylvania CLE Credit is available to Pennsylvania attorneys.

Afterward, join us for a reception and world premiere of a short film about the Law Center, directed by Andrew Ferrett, who also directed “Philadelphia: The Great Experiment.”
